Quarantine at Home
The presence of COVID19 has had profound impact on all of us. We may become anxious by what we see in the news, have fears of becoming sick, worry about our loved ones, society or know someone who contracted the virus. Many of us feel a lack of control over our lives, worry about the economy, and the CDC recommendations to stay home feed a sense of isolation and stress which are associated with health risks- poor sleeping and eating habits, depression, high blood pressure, gastrointestinal issues and headaches.
I have spent some time researching best practices for coping with the quarantine, and have compiled what I believe are the most helpful tips for keeping your spirits up and managing anxiety during this time. I hope some of these strategies will resonate with you, and that you will make an active effort to incorporate them into your life during this pandemic that while scary, is TEMPORARY.
